STANDARDS-Driven ELA Test Prep & Review Digital Escape Room Bundle! Want to make test prep fun while also ensuring your students are getting a thorough review before the big test? These escape rooms will do just that! All you have to do is share the link, and students are on their way! Save 20% by purchasing this bundle!!!

This escape can also be used throughout the year to determine how well students are understanding the skills you’ve covered. I have also used it during the first week of school as a benchmark.

This ELA Test Prep & Review Digital Escape Room Bundle is a great way to review many of the important standards, and it’s also a fun way to keep students engaged while working on these skills! Students will use Google Forms to complete the various tasks and “unlock” the codes in order to move on to the next room.

The skills that are covered are:

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Figurative Language- Vol. 1 covers definitions and Vol. 2 covers examples
  • Point of View
  • Text Structure
  • Main Idea
  • Author’s Purpose
  • Parts of Plot
  • Types of Conflict
  • Types of Genres

ELA Test Prep- Digital Escape Room Vol. 1

Activities

#1– Figurative Language- Students will click the link from their Google Form, which will take them to a drag and drop matching activity. Here, they will review the following types of figurative language: simile, metaphor, personification, onomatopoeia, alliteration, hyperbole, and idiom.

#2– Point of View- Students will read a passage to determine the following types of point of view: 1st person, 3rd person limited, 3rd person omniscient, and 3rd person objective.

#3– Text Structure- Students read a passage and determine the type of text structure used by choosing from 4 multiple choice answers.

#4– Main Idea- Students get a link to a Times 4 Kids article. Here, they will read the passage and will then be given multiple choice questions to answer. This is terrific practice for reading comprehension.

ELA Test Prep- Digital Escape Room Vol. 2

Activities:

#1– Figurative Language- Students click the link from their Google Form, which will take them to a drag and drop matching activity. Here, they will review the following types of figurative language: simile, metaphor, personification, onomatopoeia, alliteration, hyperbole, and idiom.

#3– Parts of the Plot- Students answer questions to review parts of the plot: exposition, rising action, falling action, climax, resolution, protagonist, and antagonist.

#4- Point of View- Students read short passages to determine the type of point of view used: 1st person, 2nd person, or 3rd person.

ELA Test Prep- Digital Escape Room Vol. 3

Activities:

#1- Key Testing Vocabulary- Students will click the link from their Google Form, which will take them to a drag and drop matching activity. Here, they will determine the definition for “12 Powerful Words” | Vocabulary that is essential to know for end of year & state testing.

#2- Reading Comprehension- Students will read a passage and answer reading comprehension questions on main idea, supporting evidence, context clues, and more.

#3– Types of Conflict- Students will complete a drag & drop activity where they match the type of conflict with the correct example.
