Interactive Educational Videos Using ClickView Save

In today’s society, where kids have the world at their fingertips, it isn’t easy to find resources that will keep students engaged. With stricter state guidelines on curriculum, that also makes this task even more challenging. Then I found a platform that solved many of these issues. If you’re looking for safe, curated classroom videos, using ClickView is the way to go!

I must say, finding engaging educational videos within a matter of seconds is amazing! It’s also a huge plus that ClickView vets the videos and includes ZERO ads. Not having to worry about inappropriate language or actions certainly takes a load off.

Getting Started with ClickView’s Interactive Classroom Videos

  1. Create an account. If you’re planning to use with Google or another Learning Management System, I would suggest using this email to sign up on ClickView.
  2. Next create your classroom. If you have multiple classes, you can create a class for each one you have… whatever works best for you. The video below shows how to do this:

3. Now that you have created your classes, you can start looking for content for the subject area and grade level you teach. Click on “Discover” on the left side. Tons of video options will appear. Since my focus is middle school ELA, I’ll choose English Language Arts. Then the videos are filtered to standards-aligned videos and resources for this specific area. You can also search a specific topic in the search bar. Once you find a video that you would like to use, you can add your own questions to the video or use the premade questions created by ClickView which are always right on par. If you would like for your students to use printable worksheets, you’ll also have the option to download the questions and activities that ClickView has already made. See the video below for more details:

4. The next step is to share with your class. As shown in the video below, you click the share arrow below the video, and it provides you with a link to post on Google Classroom, Schoology, or whatever LMS you use. You can also get the embed code to embed the video directly on your class website.

5. By using ClickView’s interactive questions (or creating your own) then they are automatically graded for you if they’re multiple choice. If the questions are short response, the teacher will need to grade those. You will be able to see how all your students did on the assignment once they have finished. In addition, the analytics will show where any gaps may be.

Another huge plus is that ClickView carefully produces original videos and licenses content from trusted partners like CrashCourse and the BBC. Instead of sorting through a website with videos made for anyone to watch, you’ll find fresh and engaging content curated specifically for students. The team at ClickView is constantly updating content that aligns with teachers’ curriculum needs.

In my personal experience, ClickView makes our teacher lives easier and allows us to use our time in a more purposeful way. Create a FREE account today! I’d love to hear what you think if you sign up. Let me know in the comments or shoot me an email- litwithlyns@gmail.com.
