It’s hard to believe that this school year is almost over! In my district, we currently have 10 more days left…ahhhh….the end is in sight! I have to say that this has been a terrific year. It was my first year teaching in Georgia after moving from NC, and I was extremely nervous about starting somewhere new. But I couldn’t have asked for better co-workers who helped me EVERY step of the way, which made the transition so much easier than I had anticipated.
At the end of each school year, I always like to find out what my students liked, didn’t like, what they thought would’ve made things better, etc. I do make a point of explaining that they should keep in mind that it is school, which means learning is required…lol! However, I want their feedback, so I ask that they’re specific in explaining their thoughts, while making sure that they also include ideas regarding how the activities could be improved. In the past, this strategy has been extremely helpful for me in modifying future projects, group work, and any other areas that are necessary.
