After recently discovering SparkSpace.ai, it was clear this AI writing platform was going to help students grow leaps and bounds! SparkSpace.ai is a writing tutor that will guide students in their writing without writing it for them. I know! It sounds too good to be true… but it’s not!
How SparkSpace.AI Works
First, create a FREE account. I used my school Google account so that I could easily connect each of my classes from Google Classroom. Since we’re currently working on biography presentations, I chose to create my own prompt. Students had to introduce their favorite celebrity that they were completing their bio projects on, and write a paragraph that included the following:
- Introduction Sentence that clearly stated the celebrity they would be discussing
- 3 reasons why this person was their favorite celebrity
- Provide a clear closing statement
I used the rubric created by SparkSpace.ai which went right along with what my expectations for the paragraph were. Setting up the whole assignment took me less than 3 minutes. The image below shows what the assignments look like once created on the AI writing platform.
Then, once students complete the assignment, this is what it will look like.
If students are stuck or are trying to avoid being repetitive, they can ask “Sage,” the AI writing tutor, a question. For example, this student needed a synonym for genuinely. Sage provided not only a synonym, but also extra tips.

Once students have completed their paragraph, they simply hit, “Grade it,” and the AI writing platform will grade it for them and provide feedback. Take a look at this process in the short video below:
Is your mind blown yet, because mine sure is! Since it is scored by AI, I still look over it to ensure I agree with the grade. So far, it’s been right on par!

There are also tons of options you can choose from that are already created. If you would like to edit what you choose, you can also do that too. You can change the word requirement as well as the number of points you want to use to grade the assignment. Take a look at all of the options available:
