Task Cards- Reading & ELA for the win! I was trying to think of what would help my students to stay engaged while also being actively involved in the test prep review process. At this time of year, we all know that can be quite challenging. I thought of some activities that have kept my students’ attention this year: group work, movement, and task cards! They absolutely LOVE activities that involve activities allow for options. I decided to create some that could serve as a review in many of the areas that they will be tested on. End of year testing is just right around the corner. These task cards could also serve as a benchmark at the beginning of the year to assess what students already know and need to work on.
How To Use
I use these resources in stations. I divide students into 6 groups. That means 2 groups will be working on the vocab task cards. Two groups will work on text structure, and 2 on point of view. This resource also comes in a digital format if you would rather have students complete digitally. In addition to station rotation, other ways they could be used are in centers, whole group, individual practice or for homework.
This product includes 70 total task cards:
- 36 Common Core Vocabulary
- 14 Text Structure
- 20 Point of View
