1- Read an informational text on the history of Halloween and answer comprehension questions on author’s purpose, context clues, and more.
2- Complete a Halloween figurative language drag and drop that covers similes, metaphors, personification, and alliteration. Then they will put together a jigsaw puzzle that gives them the final clue for the code.
3- Read a modified/shortened version of “The Monkey’s Paw” and answer comprehension/critical thinking questions.
4- Watch a short Edpuzzle video (NO LOGIN REQUIRED) and answer questions as they view the video.
